SEN Services Southwest
In 2014, with the new SEN Code of Practice about to be launched, and with very little information and guidance out there for SENCos, we realised that our joint passion for all things SEN-related, along with a wide wealth of qualifications and experience in a variety of educational sectors, we could offer something that seemed to be lacking in our local area. SEN Services Southwest was born! At first, we offered support to schools through consultancy, assessments and training, mainly across Cornwall, both working in the business in a part-time capacity. Gradually we expanded our support into Devon, Dorset and Somerset.
10 years on, and we are now both working in the business full time. We continue to grow all aspects of the business offering a wide range of support to schools including expanding the training aspect of the business nationwide. Our expertise is recognised widely, for example as Independent SEN Experts at Independent Review Panels; in supporting many Multi-Academy Trusts, Secondary Schools, Primary Schools and Alternative Provisions with all things SEN.
This year, we have been very pleased to also welcomed Kath as our newest Consultant.
